The league comes on the heels of a proud moment for Nepal, as both the men’s and women’s national teams finished as runners-up in the recently concluded Kho Kho World Cup held in India. Riding on that momentum, the Nepal Kho Kho Association has initiated this professional league to further promote the sport at the grassroots and national levels.

The tournament is being organized by the Nepal Kho Kho Association, with main promotion from Thakurbaba Municipality, and support from the National Sports Council and Provincial Sports Council, Lumbini. The management of the event is being handled by the Lumbini Province Kho Kho Association.
