11-09-2024; As per news update–The South East Central Railway Sports Association (SECRSA) is all set to host the prestigious 18th All India Railway Kho-Kho Championship from October 17 to 19, 2024. The event will take place at SECRSA in Bilaspur and promises to be a significant gathering for Kho Kho enthusiasts from across Indian Railways.
This annual sporting event is a key fixture in the calendar of Railway sports, bringing together top kho-kho athletes from all Zonal Railways, Production Units, and other affiliated sports associations. Teams from various regions will compete for the championship title in this fast-paced, traditional Indian sport that requires both agility and strategy.
SECRSA has sent out a notification to all Zonal Railways, Production Units, and other units’ sports associations, requesting them to nominate their best players for the event. Each participating unit is required to send in their entries by October 10, 2024. Entries must be accompanied by the players’ employment certificates, duly attested and signed by the respective Assistant Personnel Officers (APO).
The entry forms and certificates should be sent directly to the SECRSA office via email at secrsahqbsp@gmail.com and secrsa@secr.railnet.gov.in. Additionally, a copy of the entries should also be forwarded to the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) at rspbrb@rb.railnet.gov.in.
The event is expected to draw a large number of participants and spectators, given the growing popularity of kho-kho within the Indian Railways sports community.
