For the first time, all matches will be played on mats, following the international 7-a-side format used in the Kho Kho World Cup. To bring the action to fans nationwide, Doordarshan will broadcast the matches live.

Another historic first for the Senior Nationals is the introduction of the Decision Review System (DRS) for the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final matches. This technological advancement ensures greater accuracy in officiating and enhances the professional appeal of the sport.
