News room, 31-08-2024; As per news update – In celebration of National Sports Day, a district-level Kho Kho competition for junior categories (boys and girls) was organized at Motilal Nehru Sports Stadium. The two-day event commenced with the boys’ category, where Bal Vidya Mandir from Gangaganj emerged as the winners, with Mohari Kho Kho Club securing the runner-up position. The following day featured intense competition among girls, with Mohari Kho Kho Club’s team clinching the top spot and Purva Mohari Girls from Ucch Prathamik Vidyalaya securing the second position.
Distinguished guests at the event included Laxmikant Shukla, Secretary of the District Olympics Association; Dhirendra Kumar Purushottam, District Sports Officer; Renu Shukla, District Physical Education Teacher; Shivsharan Singh, District Scout Master; along with Navneet Kumar Verma, Yogesh Kumar, Akash Patel, Akash Maurya, Rekha Singh, Munish Kumar, and others.
The competition not only showcased the sporting prowess of young talents but also underscored the spirit of athleticism and camaraderie among participants and spectators alike.
