Pulwama, 29-10-2024 – The two-day District Pulwama Kho Kho Championship 2024-25 was held at Sports Ground, Government Higher Secondary School, Kakapora, featuring over 200 enthusiastic participants. The event showcased intense competition across various categories, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship in the region.
In the Senior Men’s category, Awantipora Tigers emerged victorious, while HSS Kakapora secured the runner-up position. For the Senior Women, HSS Kakapora claimed the championship title, with the Sports Academy Tral finishing as runners-up.
In the Junior categories, UPS Dougam triumphed in both the Boys’ and Girls’ divisions, with GHSS Tokena Gulzarpora and GHSS Tokena Gulzarpora , respectively, taking the runner-up spots.
In the Sub Junior Boys’ category, Ratnipora Kho Kho Academy claimed victory, followed by Valenteens Kho Kho Club Pampore. For the Sub Junior Girls, Padgampora Kho Kho Club emerged winners, with MTI School Tral as runners-up.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Shahnawaz Ahmad, ZPEO Kakapora & Guest of honour Mr.Ali Mohammad Sofi Vice Principlal Hss kakapora presented trophies, medals, and certificates to all winners and participants in the three categories. Special awards of honor were also given to distinguished guests and officials present at the event.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Maqbool Sofi, Secretary of the District Kho Kho Association Pulwama, expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event’s success, including players, coaches, and supporters.
The championship not only highlighted the talent within the district but also fostered community spirit and sportsmanship among participants.
