Global Celebrations Mark the Grand Success of International Kho Kho Day on 30th June

New Delhi, 30th June 2025: The spirit of Kho Kho reverberated across the globe as nations from all six continents came together to celebrate International Kho Kho Day on 30th June 2025. The occasion, which honors the rich heritage and rising global influence of one of India’s oldest indigenous sports, saw unprecedented participation from countries worldwide, with vibrant digital celebrations, rallies, and creative social media campaigns.

While the world commemorated the day with pride and passion, India went a step ahead, celebrating both National and International Kho Kho Day with a grand rally in the heart of New Delhi, near the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI) Headquarters. The rally witnessed the participation of players, coaches, administrators, and fans, waving the Kho Kho flag with joy, resonating slogans of unity, pride, and sportsmanship.

From Asia to the Americas, from Europe to Africa, and even Oceania—Kho Kho enthusiasts lit up their timelines with warm greetings, digital tributes, and vibrant wishes. Here’s how each country celebrated:


🟠 Asia

Across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, millions of impressions were generated through photos, videos, graphics, and reels shared by national federations and international players. From digital creatives showcasing the “Mud to Mat” journey to powerful messages of unity and growth, the content flood reflected a strong and passionate global Kho Kho family.

Many players and coaches from various countries also tagged @indiakhokho , @internationalkhokho and @kho_kho_champions while participating in the celebration, proving how the sport is no longer just India’s heritage but a global movement.

With 16 countries officially participating in the celebration and many more silently watching and getting inspired, International Kho Kho Day 2025 has become a milestone in the sport’s journey. The power of social media has unified diverse cultures through one ancient Indian sport, turning Kho Kho into a symbol of global sportsmanship, agility, and tradition.
