The selection trials for the Bihar Kho Kho teams (boys and girls) set to participate in the Khelo India Youth Games 2025 will take place in Patna on March 23. The trials are being organized by the Kho Kho Association of Bihar in collaboration with the Bihar State Sports Authority and will be held at the Patliputra Sports Complex.
Neeraj Kumar Pappu, General Secretary of the Kho Kho Association of Bihar, announced that the trials will begin at 8 AM. Only players born on or after January 1, 2007, are eligible to participate. The selection process is completely free, and players from all districts across Bihar are encouraged to take part. Participants must bring their original birth certificate, Aadhaar card (along with a photocopy), and two passport-sized photographs for verification.
Pappu further stated that players who successfully clear the trials will be invited to a training camp. This camp will be conducted under the guidance of Raveendran Sankaran, Director General of the Bihar State Sports Authority. To ensure high-quality coaching, experienced coaches from outside Bihar will be brought in. Following the camp, the final teams will be announced.
Notably, Bihar will be hosting the Khelo India Youth Games 2025, scheduled to take place from May 4 to May 15. The events will be spread across five cities in the state, with the Kho Kho matches proposed to be held in Gaya.
