New Delhi, July 2, 2025: In a significant development for Indian sports, the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI) has announced its newly elected Governing Body following the successful conduct of elections at its headquarters in New Delhi. Shri Sudhanshu Mittal has been re-elected as President, reaffirming the confidence placed in his leadership. Shri Upkar Singh Virk, formerly the Joint Secretary, has now been elected as the General Secretary. Shri Govind Sharma, previously an Executive Member, has been appointed Treasurer.

The elections were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Kamini Lau, District Judge (Retd.), who served as the Returning Officer, ensuring a fair and transparent process.

In his address after the announcement, Mr. Sudhanshu Mittal stated,
“It is an honour to once again be entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Kho Kho Federation of India. Over the past few years, we have worked tirelessly to elevate the sport’s national and international profile. This renewed mandate inspires us to accelerate our vision for Kho Kho’s global recognition and institutional growth.”

Newly elected General Secretary Mr. Upkar Singh Virk emphasized a vision for structured growth, saying,
“Kho Kho is rooted in our culture, and its transformation into a modern, global sport is within reach. Our focus will be on structured development, expanding the sport’s base, and bringing transparency and efficiency into the Federation’s operations.”

The new Governing Body includes a balanced representation of experienced and emerging administrators from across India, aimed at promoting the sport at all levels:
