News room, 27-08-2024; As per news update Soroti City, Uganda – On 9th August, the Uganda Kho Kho Federation made history by organizing the first-ever Kho Kho Sport Secondary Schools Tournament. The landmark event, held in Soroti City, saw the participation of 10 secondary schools from various regions, all displaying remarkable sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the traditional Indian sport of Kho Kho.
The tournament was a thrilling affair, with students demonstrating agility, strategy, and teamwork in their pursuit of victory. After a series of intense matches, Cornerstone Secondary School emerged as the champions, earning the title of the tournament’s inaugural winners. The success of this event marks a significant step forward for the promotion of Kho Kho in Uganda, highlighting the growing interest and talent for the sport among the nation’s youth.
The Uganda Kho Kho Federation expressed their pride in the successful execution of the tournament and their commitment to further developing the sport across the country. The event was lauded for its organization and the high level of competition, setting a strong precedent for future tournaments in Uganda.
