Earlier in January 2025 (13–19), both New Zealand women’s team and the Australian men’s and women’s teams proudly represented their nations at the 1st-ever Kho Kho World Cup, held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. This prestigious tournament featured 23 countries from six continents, marking a historic moment for the sport.
Their participation on the world stage set the foundation for increased interest, training, and investment in Kho Kho across the Oceania region. The progress made this year showcases how athletes from both countries are embracing the sport with passion and ambition.
