Bihar Team Departs for 34th Sub Junior National Kho-Kho Championship

27-09-2024; As per news update,Jharkhand – The Kho-Kho Association of Bihar has announced the departure of its contingent to participate in the prestigious 34th Sub Junior National Kho-Kho Championship. The Albert Ekka Stadium in Simdega, Jharkhand, will host the championship from 28th September to 2nd October 2024.

Neeraj Kumar Pappu, the General Secretary of the Kho-Kho Association of Bihar, confirmed the details. He expressed confidence in the team’s preparedness and determination to excel on the national stage. Additionally, he highlighted the team’s leadership. Mukul Kumar of Bhagalpur will captain the Bihar Sub Junior Boys team, and Richa Kumari will lead the girls’ team

The Bihar contingent comprises talented athletes from various districts across the state.In the boys’ category, the team includes Mukul Kumar from Bhagalpur, Ashwini Pandey, Aryan Kumar, and Ayush Kumar from Buxar. Dipeshwar Mishra from Bhojpur, Subhash Kumar and Bhupesh Kumar from Jamui, and Jayant Kumar from Lakhisara are also part of the team. Additionally, Radha Krishna, Rajneesh Raj, and Md are included. Irshad Raza (West Champaran), Aman Chauhan and Anurag Chauhan (Siwan), and Himanshu Kumar (Begusarai). The team is under the guidance of Coach Harimohan Singh from Munger and managed by Uttam Kumar Rajak, also from Munger.

In the girls’ category, Richa Kumari (Bhagalpur) leads a formidable squad including Sonam Maurya and Supriya Kumari (Buxar), Lakshmi Kumari (Munger), Swati Kumari and Sakshi Bharti (Lakhisarai), Sangeeta Kumari and Prem Pyari Kumari (Sheikhpura), Shail Putri, Gyanvi, Shikha Suman, Amrita Kumari, and Aasi Kumari (Saran), and Anushka Kumari and Sandhya Bharti (Jamui). Moreover, Sudha Kumari from Patna coaches the girls’ team, while Muskan Kumari from Saran manages the team affairs.
