In a major move to bolster the grassroots talent pool for one of India’s most beloved indigenous sports, the Odisha AM/NS India Kho Kho High-Performance Centre (HPC) has officially announced its selection trials for 2026. This prestigious initiative offers young athletes a pathway to professional training and elite-level excellence.
The trials are scheduled to take place from May 22 to May 24, 2026, targeting the brightest young prospects from across the nation.

Eligibility & Requirements
To maintain a high standard of competition, the HPC has set strict eligibility criteria. National-level participation is mandatory for all aspirants.
1. Competitive Experience
Athletes must have represented their respective states in at least one of the following:
- Junior or Sub-Junior National Championships
- School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Nationals
- Khelo India Youth Games
- Note: Players who participated in the Odisha State-meet are also eligible for the U-14 trials.
2. Age Categories
- Under-14: Date of Birth between 01.05.2013 – 01.01.2015
- Under-18: Date of Birth between 01.05.2009 – 01.01.2011
3. Essential Documentation
Athletes are required to upload the following during registration and carry originals to the venue:
- Participation Certificates: Valid proof from recognized organizing authorities.
- Identification: Government-issued ID (such as an Aadhaar Card) for age verification.
